Itinerary information

Day 1 - Dar es Salaam to Mikumi Via SGR Train & Afternoon Game Drive

Day 1 Description: Depart Dar es Salaam VIA SGR Train morning. 1:30 Hour experience from Posta SGR Station to Jakaya Kikwete Train Station Morogogo. Then a transfer to Mikumi national park 2 hours drive. Arrive at Mikumi, check into your lodge, and head straight into the park for an afternoon game drive exploring the Mkata Floodplain until sunset. Return to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 - Morning Game Drive & Return to Dar es Salaam

Day 2 Description: Wake up early for a morning game drive when predators are most active. Track lions returning from hunts and observe large herds gathering at watering holes. After a late breakfast, exit the park and begin your return journey back to Morogoro SGR Train Station for a train to Dar es Salaam, arriving by early evening.
