Itinerary information

Day 1 - Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park & Sunset Boat Safari

Depart Dar es Salaam early in the morning, driving south through scenic coastal plains and rural villages toward Nyerere National Park. Arrive at your safari camp in time for lunch and a short rest. In the late afternoon, embark on a 2-hour boat safari along the Rufiji River, watching hippos, Nile crocodiles, and aquatic birds against the sunset. Return to camp for dinner under the stars.

Day 2 - Full-Day Nyerere National Park Safari & Big Game Tracking

Depart early after breakfast for a full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park. Explore palm-fringed lakes, woodland savannas, and river channels. Track lion prides, wild dogs, giraffes, buffaloes, and large elephant herds. Enjoy a packed picnic lunch inside the park at a safe viewpoint overlooking the lakes before continuing game drives until late afternoon. Return to camp for dinner.

Day 3 - Mikumi National Park Game Drive & Return to Dar es Salaam

Check out early and take a short scenic drive to Mikumi National Park. Spend the morning on game drives across the Mkata Floodplain—often called "The Little Serengeti"—for easy sightings of lions, zebras, wildebeests, and elands. After a warm lunch, begin the smooth highway drive back to Dar es Salaam, dropping off at your hotel or Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) by early evening.
